Bum Marketing is a type of article marketing that is designed to help people get started in internet marketing. The premise is simple - write great articles, include a link to a website that has a link to an affiliate product or the link to the affiliate merchant and submit it to article directories. In fact, the process is identical to article marketing.

Aside from the basic formula of find product, find keywords, write articles, and submit them, there are also off-shoot “methods”. These are actually more like routines. Bum Marketers who have made it successful for them often come out and share what they did in order to develop their income stream.

I’ve taken this advice and developed my own “method”. I don’t have hours a day in order to work on this, but I’ve been chipping away at it pretty steadily. The problem with bum marketing is that it is not immediate. The tendency is to work on it for a few weeks, not see much progress, and then give up. But most people say that it takes 3-6 months in order for it to really take off.
