I turned this blog into something other than what I envisioned. I wanted it to be a creative online place where I can share bits of my career and my life with all of you while sharing articles and advice on how to make a living doing what you love. This is my vision for this site, but I strayed a little bit from that as I realized my blog stopped living up to its purpose.

As you all know, I’m an experienced writer making a living online who is making the switch to internet marketing. I’ve been in this place for several months now, and each day I spend working takes me closer to my goal. But I also need to remember that creative pursuits are also a big part of my life and what I do and believe in. So even though I will still be offering the same practical articles I have been, you’ll see a lot more about creativity and where I’m at in my career in the mix.

Yes, I put a lot of effort into offering helpful content. Yes, I’ve gotten positive feedback on my content. My blog has even achieved a status of PR 3 and it’s only been up for around six months. I’m excited about the possibilities this blog can bring me.

So you’ll be seeing some changes. I am not quite sure what prompted this. Maybe it was my cross country journey frome the East Coast to the West that changed things. Maybe it’s the fact that my husband and I are having some car trouble and I need to step up my efforts to make more money so we can afford a new car.

But mostly I think it’s my location. California, particularly Monterey Bay, is an inspiring place to live. I’ve been unpacking boxes and I feel a pang every time I unpack my art supplies, yarns, beads and unfinished projects. Inside me there is a creative person who is at times stifled by the endless projects and deadlines and trying to get a pay check.

The missing element to this blog that bears my name has been myself. Or rather, my creative self. In order for me to enjoy this blog I need to stay true to that. So you’ll be seeing some changes in the near future. However, I will still write more of the same content I have been about having a successful business online. You’ll just see more of my life on here. Maybe some of my poetry and photography, too. I chose to be in business for myself because it’s fun. Things are about to get a lot more entertaining for me, and hopefully for you too.
