How to Make Money Writing Without Deadlines

Deadline driven freelance writing projects are fine to an extent. But when that’s ALL I have to do, it can be a problem. Plus, deadlines aren’t always practical. Sometimes my schedule doesn’t permit them. Busy weekends, planning for a move, having a full time job - these are all reasons why you may also dislike deadlines.

Well, the good thing is that you can still make money writing without deadlines. This is the approach I’ve been using lately and I don’t have as much stress in my life!

  • Write and submit articles to Associated Content
  • Sell PLR content - this is where you create a a batch of say ten articles all in the same niche. Each article is optimized for a certain keyword. You may sell 25-30 of these batches at 9.99 each. PLR stands for Private Label Rights. I’ll write about this in more detail in another post.
  • Same as above to Constant Content
  • Write articles, short stories, poems, and essays and submit them to magazines
  • Submit articles to revenue sharing sites where you’ll get paid residual income for the articles. Helium is an example, so is Triond.

These are just some ideas. If you have more ideas, fell free to tell me in the comments or blog about it and then put the link in the comments.

  1. I’m doing my own blogs and dabbling with affiliate marketing too. Blogs are making some money but the AM is something still fresh and new to me so it’s fun but not yet profitable.
Passive income sure would be nice :)

  2. My ultimate goal is definitely passive income. :)

Affiliate marketing is still new to me, as well. I am on my way but there is definitely a learning curve. I happily learn things and apply what I learn, though.

Having places to make money without worrying about deadlines is certainly a bonus!
