Gives us something to think about. I hadn’t thought of making use of links in the profile…

I, too, have been a member of helium for over a year and don’t even utilize it for the payment. I am more interested how the piece compares with those of a similar interest. It’s quite interesting to see.

Michele, Yes they’re profile feature is pretty good actually!

Mysti, I agree. But it’s a little baffling sometimes. Why do some articles rate better than others? Sometimes I feel like the lower rated ones are better written.

I’ve been a member of Helium for a couple of years also but haven’t written anything new in months. I like seeing the residual income continue to come in. Each time I see my articles making a dollar or so per month I wonder why I don’t submit more work there. The more articles you have the more residual income it would bring in.

I use my profile too but it doesn’t create a very high turnover rate.

I love to see how my articles compare with others. It’s such a huge ego boost to have a 1 of 47. *grins*

I myself am really not into Helium. I’ve published a couple of articles to their site… but it’s very difficult to navigate and they content looks visually very plain. However, it is always good to keep one’s options open. As you said, for some folks, it’s what they’re looking for.

@Rebecca - I know what you mean - If you write 12 articles, they have they potential of earning $24 over the course of two years - which would be more than if someone had paid you $5 or $6 up front. It does make sense. :)

@NickiB - Their navigation does take some getting used to. I won’t stop putting articles on the site and participating, I’m just not going to let it suck up a lot of time.
